Although Kans Escaped Closed, Indonesia U-20 Determined To Beat Yemen U-20 In The Last Match

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team no longer has a chance to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup. Even so, the Garuda Nusantara squad remains determined to beat Yemen U-20 in the closing match of the group phase.

Ahead of the match, Jens Raven, who is the striker of the Garuda Nusantara squad, emphasized his desire to win three points in the match against Yemen.

Jens assessed that the U-20 Indonesian national team already knew about Yemen's game because they had met in the qualifying phase.

"We already know that from the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers," said Jens again.

The one-goal scorer for Indonesia in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup assessed that the Red-White team's game had improved during the second match against Uzbekistan, but positive performance did not continue in the second half.

"I think after the last game, we were pretty good in the first half, played 1-1 and Uzbekistan was a tough opponent."

The U-20 Indonesian national team lost 0-3 to Iran in the first match and lost 1-3 to Uzbekistan in the second match. While Yemen lost 0-1 to Iran and was headed by Iran 0-6 in the next match.
