The Head Of Public Relations Of The South Sumatra DPRD Plays A Role In Accommodating The Flow Of Special Assistance Corruption Funds

PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Sumsel) revealed the role of the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra DPRD with the initials AMR in the alleged corruption-gratification case of special assistance for the Governor of South Sumatra for the 2023 APBD, in the construction of the village head office, RT road, and drainage in Keramat Raya Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency.

"AMR plays a role in accepting the flow of funds to accounts with a total fee of 20 percent gratuity of Rp. 826 million," said Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office Yulianto in Palembang, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 18.

The flow was received from another suspect, namely WAF as a private contractor.

Previously, the Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Umaryadi, explained that in this case his party named three suspects, namely the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra DPRD AMR, the private sector WAF, and the Head of the PUPR Banyuasin APR Service.

The three suspects committed corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN) in the form of bribes with a commitment fee from the suspect, both ASN and private. Then the conditioning of the winner of the auction so that the construction of the project is not appropriate and incomplete.

At the time he was about to be detained along with two other suspects on Monday (17/2) the WAF suspect was in Jakarta.

The South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office team then pursued the suspect AMR and managed to arrest him in the Pondok Indah Mall area.

"Today in Palembang we have examined AMR as a suspect," he said.

Before naming the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra DPRD as a suspect, the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office also conducted an examination as a witness against former South Sumatra DPRD leader Anita Noeringhati as a witness in the case.
