Elderly Fisherman Lost In Jepara, BPBD Opens Search Command Post
The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is searching for elderly fishermen in Jepara Regency reportedly missing since Tuesday, February 18 morning.
"The disappearance of a fisherman named Jamil (60), from Demaan Village, Jepara City District, is expected to occur on Tuesday, at 03.00 WIB in Bondo Waters, Bondo Village, Bangsi District, Jepara Regency," said Head of the Jepara BPBD Arwin Noor Isdiyanto in Jepara, Tuesday, February 18, confiscated by Antara.
The chronology of the incident, he continued, was that the victim and two other crew members went to sea using a soup boat with the hull name Tiga Putri on Tuesday, February 18, at 01.00 WIB.
The three fishermen went to sea from Pesajen Demaan Village. At around 03.00 WIB, the three crew members (ABK) arrived in Bondo waters and immediately spread nets.
"While spreading the net, one fisherman who was a crew member of a ship named Jamil fell and disappeared at sea," he said.
Due to this incident, his two friends conducted a search, but the victim has not been found. Apart from collecting data, the Jepara BPBD Team also coordinated with Basarnas and volunteers.
"We have also deployed the Jepara BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) to assist in search, rescue, and evacuation," he said.
BPBD Jepara together with volunteers also opened a search post on Ombak Mati Bondo Beach, Bangsri District.
