10 Years Escaped, Corruption Convicts Finally Arrested By South Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office At Ngurah Rai Airport
BANJARMASIN - The South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Team (Kejati Kalsel) led by Intelligence Assistant I Wayan Wiradharma together with the Attorney General's Intelligence Team (Satgas SIRI) arrested Muhammad Khairuddin.
This man is on the wanted list (DPO) of corruption convicts who have been on the run for almost 10 years.
"The DPO was arrested on Sunday, February 16 at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali," said Head of the South Kalimantan Attorney General's Office, Yuni Priyono, in Banjarmasin, Antara, Monday, February 17.
During the arrest, the convict was cooperative and was immediately taken to Banjarmasin for execution by the North Hulu Sungai District Attorney.
Muhammad Khairuddin has been on the run for nearly ten years since the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 240 K/PID.SUS/2015 dated November 23, 2015 which states that the convict has been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing no crime and participating in continuing corruption.
The Supreme Court judge sentenced the Director of PT Batu Gunung Haruyan to three years in prison and a fine of Rp. 100 million and sentenced the convict to pay compensation of Rp. 917,633,550.
Yuni stated that the arrest of the DPO was proof of the prosecutor's commitment to taking action against fugitives.

He also reminded all DPOs of the Prosecutor's Office to immediately surrender.
"There is no safe place for criminals to hide, sooner or later we will find and execute the court's decision," he stressed.
