Called By Prabowo To The Palace, Head Of BPPIK Asked To Supervise Illegal Lobbying
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto ordered the Head of the Special Development and Investigation Control Agency (BPPIK) Aries Marsudiyanto to oversee government development projects and report when finding illegal lobbying in the process.
Aries became one of the officials summoned to appear before President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, next to the Minister of Manpower Yassierli and Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Enik Ermawati, also known as Ni Luh Puspa.
"I was given just a clue. As usual. Development must run smoothly. Corruption must be eliminated, (the law) is enforced, the law is correct. Illegal mining, illegal lobbying, and so on, we eradicate well," said Aries explaining the points directed by the President to him, Monday, February 17, confiscated by Antara.
In order to carry out this, Aries said that he was synergizing with several related ministries/agencies and law enforcement officials.
"Synergy with several institutions, ministries, law enforcement must be solid. I think that's all," continued Aries.
Aries emphasized that the new body formed by the President he currently leads is trying to realize a clean government as Prabowo wants.
"In my field, how to eradicate corruption is still enforced, a clean government," said the Head of the Special Development and Investigation Control Agency.

At the Presidential Palace Complex, after summoning several ministers and heads of agencies, the President then announced the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) Number 8 of 2025 which essentially requires exporters to store 100 percent foreign exchange of natural resource exports (DHE SDA) in domestic banks. The new provisions are excluded for exporters in the oil and gas sector, which means that their DHE SDA rules still refer to PP Number 36 of 2023.
The announcement was made directly by President Prabowo in a press conference after a limited cabinet meeting with several ministers in the economic sector of the Red and White Cabinet. The ministers who accompanied the President during a press conference were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid.
Then, there is also Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
