The Identification Of The Bodies Of Glodok Plaza Fire Victims Is Still Continuing, The Police Hospital Takes DNA Samples Again
JAKARTA - The process of identifying the bodies of victims of the Glodok Plaza fire is still continuing at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, Jakarta, Monday, February 17.
Currently, the forensic team is again taking additional DNA samples (doxyribonucleic acid) from two families of victims of the Glodok Plaza fire.
The Head of Yandokpol Police Hospital, Kombes Hery Wijatmoko, said that two families of fire victims had been sampled today.
"Each of us asked for two to three samples (DNA)," said Kombes Hery when confirmed.
A fire in Glodok Plaza, Tamansari, West Jakarta occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. As of Monday, February 17, 2025, the National Police Hospital has succeeded in identifying 6 bodies out of a total of 14 people who were reported missing in the Glodok Plaza fire.
As is known, the six bodies were named Zukhi F Rahdja (42), Aulia Belinda (28), Osima yukary (29), Desty Eka Putri S (24), Keren Shallom Jeremiah (21), and Ade Aryanti (30). The victims were identified based on DNA examination.

Kombes Hery confirmed that there would be an increase in the number of DNA samples for victims of the Glodok Plaza fire following the increasing demand for samples from the two families of the victims.
However, Hery is still waiting for the latest data to come in on how much additional DNA samples will be after his party conducts an examination.
"For samples from families, it will increase. We will wait for the data from the laboratory first," he said.
In addition, Hery said the number of body bags that had been received by the Kramat Jati Police Hospital remained 16 bags. Two of the body bags do not contain human body parts.
"There are still 16 body bags," he said.
