Export Value In January 2025 Only Reaches 21.45 Billion US Dollars

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia's export value in January 2025 reached 21.45 billion US dollars.

This figure decreased by 8.56 percent compared to December 2024 amounting to IDR 23.46 billion US dollars.

Acting (Plt) Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said this value consisted of non-oil and gas exports which reached 20.45 billion US dollars or a decrease of 6.96 percent compared to December 2024 amounting to Rp21.92 billion US dollars.

Then, oil and gas exports reached 1.06 billion US dollars or a decrease of 31.35 percent compared to last year's December of IDR 23.46 billion US dollars.

"The decrease in the value of exports in January 2025 on a monthly basis is mainly driven by a decrease in the value of non-oil exports, especially in mineral fuel commodities, vegetable animal fats and oils or HS 15, as well as metal ore and ash crust or HS 26," he said at a press conference, Monday, February 17.

Amalia said the decline in the value of oil and gas exports was mainly driven by a decrease in the value of gas exports with a share of 1.08 percent on an annual basis.

According to him, on an annual basis, the export value of January 2025 increased by 4.68 percent, this increase was driven by an increase in non-oil and gas exports, especially in the export of boat boats and floating structures or HS 89, precious metals and jewelry or HS 71 and also exports of inorganic chemicals or HS 28.
