The Minister Of Manpower Ensures That Priority Programs Continue To Run Despite Budget Efficiency

JAKARTA - Minister Yassierli ensured that the Ministry of Manpower would continue to carry out its duties optimally and budget cuts would not interfere with government priority programs in the labor sector.

"We remain committed to providing the best service to the community. Budget efficiency does not mean reducing the quality of work, but instead encourages us to work more innovatively and this is a challenge for all levels of the Ministry of Manpower," Yassierli said in his statement, quoted on Sunday, February 16.

According to him, the budget efficiency implemented aims to ensure that the use of the state budget is more targeted, and all APBNs are prioritized to directly touch the public interest.

Therefore, Yassierli said that despite adjustments in several programs, the Ministry of Manpower remains focused on improving the quality of human resources, increasing productivity and industrial competitiveness, expanding job opportunities, placement of labor, fostering industrial relations, as well as protecting and supervising labor.

Furthermore, Yassierli emphasized that his party continues to coordinate with across ministries/agencies to collaborate to create a joint program in the implementation of vocational training and professional certification.

He gave an example, such as with the Ministry of MSMEs, the Ministry of primary and secondary education, the Ministry of SOEs, the National Nutrition Agency, the Ministry of Forestry, the Ministry of P3MI and other ministries/agencies.

Yassierli conveyed that even collaboration was also carried out with private industries, tilantropy institutions, communities and others in the National productivity movement.

"With the right strategy, this budget efficiency can actually be an opportunity to increase program collaboration with Ministries/Agencies, private parties to various other communities in supporting the increase in the quality of the world of employment," he concluded.
