Democrats Synergize With Gerindra To Guard National Development

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said his party was ready to run with the Gerindra Party in the aim of building the nation.

AHY, his nickname, conveyed this while attending the 17th Anniversary of the Gerindra Party in Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday, February 15.

"We hope that Gerindra will become a pioneer together, of course with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, including our Democratic Party, to continue to oversee democracy and national development in the future," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA.

He said the Democratic Party was ready to fully support various programs in the government of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party.

"We want the government, which has been running for approximately four months, to be also successful. That is, facing various dynamics of challenges, but also good opportunities we will have. Of course, it requires strong cooperation, solidity of all parties that carry it," he said.

The Gerindra Party celebrates its 17th Anniversary at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java.

The event was also attended by a number of party leaders and high-ranking officials of the Red and White Cabinet. Some of the figures present were the General Chair of the Golkar Party Bahlil Lahadalia, the President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Ahmad Syaikhu to the Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh.

As for the day before the anniversary celebration, on Friday (14/2) to be precise, a gathering was held by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) held at the Garuda Yaksa Padepokan, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java.
