Vinicius Agent Sends Request For Salary Extension To Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Vinicius Junior's agent has informed Real Madrid of their client's financial demands if he wants to stay at the club after 2027.

The player's representative hopes to meet with Real Madrid executives in the coming days to continue discussions.

According to ESPN reports, Vinicius is closer to extending his contract at Real Madrid than moving to Saudi Arabia, as has been widely reported in Spanish media.

Saudi Arabia's Pro League club wants to make the Brazilian forward the world's highest-paid player, but since December 2024 there has been no update on the rumored move.

Vinicius and his representatives are reportedly upset that the Saudi Arabian league club has yet to make an official offer.

Meanwhile, while it did not reveal specifically Vinicius' financial demands to stay at Real Madrid, the forward will receive higher salaries than Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.

Vinicius recently received an important bonus after winning the FIFA Player of the Year award in December 2024.

Vinicius' contract currently expires in 2027. As previously reported, the player's salary is close to 10 million euros per season plus additional costs.

Real Madrid have approached Vinicius' representative to start talks on contract renewals.

The 24-year-old is in no hurry to renew his contract despite speaking publicly about his intention to stay at Real Madrid in the long term.

Vinicius became runner-up for the 2024 Ballon d'Or after Rodri from Manchester City. In his seventh season with Los Blancos, he has scored 16 goals and made 12 assists in 30 appearances this season.
