Mendikdasmen Pastikan Salary Dan Tunjangan Guru Tak Termbas Efisiensi Budget

JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen), Abdul Mu'ti ensured that salaries, allowances, and salaries of the 13 teachers would be met and not be affected by the efficiency of the government budget.

"The fixed salary and allowance for ASN is IDR 1.64 trillion," he said at a Working Meeting with Commission X of the DPR as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 12.

The Minister of Education and Culture also ensured that the non-ASN teacher allowance budget of IDR 11.5 trillion would still be given, and would not be affected by budget efficiency.

"We still secure the allowance for non-ASN teachers of Rp. 11.5 trillion," he said.

Abdul Mu'ti also explained that this value includes an increase in non-ASN teacher allowances which were increased from Rp1.5 million to Rp2 million per person per month, according to the promise of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

Regarding teacher allowances in the form of direct transfers, he explained that currently the process has reached the stage of verification and data validation from each teacher, which the process involves local governments.

The Minister of Education and Culture also emphasized that his party had communicated with the Ministry of Finance so that the allowance could be disbursed immediately.

"Hopefully, if it can be finished quickly before Eid al-Fitr is disbursed, I think I can give the teachers extraordinary honor to be able to celebrate happily," said Abdul Mu'ti.
