Mahfud Suspects Corruption And Collusion In Tangerang Sea Pagar Case, Asks To Be Completely Investigated
JAKARTA - Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD suspects that there is a practice of corruption and collusion in the Tangerang sea fence case, Banten.
"It is almost impossible that there is no game of money, there is no compensation that is corrupt in nature until something that is clearly prohibited from being given a certificate, starting from there the direction," said Mahfud as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 12.
Therefore, Mahfud asked the authorities to focus their investigation on corruption-collusion because it endangers the country.
"In my opinion, the investigation first and whoever has been examined is whether it is a BPN (National Land Agency) employee, what is the KKP (Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries), the village head (village head) focuses on corruption, because of collusion," he explained.
The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) said that investigating cases towards document forgery does not need to be done because this will be revealed automatically if the investigation is focused on corruption-collusion.
"Don't falsify documents. It will be by itself. The small ones are by themselves, the village heads who make information, the RTs who make information, they will be revealed by themselves," said Mahfud.
Previously reported, the Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police revealed that he had examined the village head (Kades) of Kohod, Arsin, regarding the alleged forgery of building rights certificates (SHGB) and certificates of ownership (SHM) in the sea fence area in Tangerang waters, Banten.
"We have examined the village head of Kohod as a witness. According to his rights, we will continue to prioritize the principle of presumption of innocence," said the Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro.
