KPK Employees Who Conduct Investigations, Investigations And Prosecutions Reduced Due To Budget Efficiency

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out budget efficiency as instructed by President Prabowo Subianto. There were a number of adjustments made, including reducing the number of personnel in an effort to handle cases of rasuah.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Agus Joko Pramono at the Commission III Working Meeting of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 12.

"The budget savings steps for the 2025 fiscal year that will be carried out are the first, to make efficiency in official travel and assignments," Agus said when delivering the presentation.

"In this context, we reduce the number of official travel days and the number of people in carrying out assignments, investigations, investigations, and prosecutions," he continued.

This condition, Agus said, had an impact on the workload of KPK employees. However, his party is committed to supporting budget efficiency.

"This means that KPK employees, KPK personnel will get a workload that is slightly higher than before," he said.

The anti-corruption commission explained that its agency had carried out budget efficiency worth IDR 201 billion. Thus, the 2025 budget will be IDR 1.036 trillion from the previous reconstruction of IDR 1.127 trillion.

The largest budget efficiency is said to have come from goods expenditures of up to Rp194.1 billion; capital expenditures to Rp6.9 billion; and business travel efficiency of up to Rp61.5 billion.
