Commission III Of The House Of Representatives Holds A Joint Meeting Of All Working Partners To Discuss Budget Efficiency 2025

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR RI held a working meeting and hearing meeting (RDP) with all partners at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 12.

The meeting agenda is the explanation of partners related to the ministry/institution budget efficiency measures for the 2025 fiscal year as directed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

The partners who attended included the Indonesian Police (Polri), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the Supreme Court (MA). However, the meeting was not attended by the heads of institutions because of the sudden meeting agenda.

"Today's meeting which seemed very sudden, just yesterday maybe you were informed, therefore we understand that these ministries/agencies were not attended directly by the top leadership," said Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Habiburokhman when opening the meeting.

"In accordance with a report from the secretariat, currently 12 people from six factions may have been present, so the faction quorum has been fulfilled, I ask for the approval of this meeting, we declare that it is open to the public, do you agree?" he continued.

Habiburokhman said that today's meeting would ask for an explanation from partners regarding the Ministry/Institution's budget efficiency measures for the 2025 Fiscal Year as directed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Then there is an in-depth study of one faction, friends, let us be effective, because at 1 o'clock we have another event," he said.

Based on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2025 concerning the Efficiency of Expenditures in the Implementation of the APBN and APBD for Fiscal Year 2025, instructing institutional leaders to conduct reviews according to their respective duties, functions, and authorities in the context of efficiency in the 2025 Ministry/Institutional budget.

Then in accordance with the letter of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number S37/MK.02/2025 regarding the efficiency of spending and implementation of the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2025, the submission of a revised proposal in the form of budget cuts according to the amount of efficiency in attachments and has obtained the approval of the partners of the House of Representatives commission to the Minister of Finance no later than February 14, 2025.

"So tomorrow it must be conveyed to the Ministry of Finance, so we have to have a meeting today, sir," said Habiburokhman.

"In this regard, Commission III of the DPR RI asked for a partner's explanation regarding budget efficiency measures and proposed revisions in the form of cutting the ministry/institution budget," concluded the Gerindra legislator for the Jakarta electoral district.
