President Erdogan's Welcome Reflects The 75 Years Of RI-Turkey Relations

BOGOR - Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said that the welcoming of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Bogor, was prepared as a reflection of 75 years of close diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and Turkey.

The reception involved school children from around the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Bogor, West Java, to 75 members of the equestrian squad.

"The meaning of these 75 is that we want, among others, to commemorate the 75-year diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Turkey," Yusuf said at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Bogor, Antara, Wednesday, February 12.

In welcoming President Erdogan to Indonesia, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto requested that the welcoming be prepared to show the highest respect to state guests.

Therefore, the troops prepared to attend the welcoming ceremony were prepared consisting of thousands of participants.

This event will also be enlivened by the appearance of cultures that are characteristic of Indonesia.

According to Yusuf, this step in addition to paying the highest respect to state guests, also shows that Indonesia has rich local wisdom.

"With the diversity of cultures that we have, the local wisdom we have, this is where our opportunity apart from giving the highest honor also displays the culture and local wisdom of the Indonesian nation," he said.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's state visit at the Presidential Palace will later be filled with a series of ceremonies, followed by an honorary cannon performance, and inspection of ceremony participants.

The activity was continued indoors with a tete-a-tete meeting or face-to-face meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

After the face-to-face meeting was over, the event continued with a bilateral meeting between the two countries accompanied by the signing of agreed cooperation documents.

The two presidents will also deliver a press statement to the media crew and a series of events will be closed with lunch.
