Sony WH-1000XM6 Launches Globally Soon

JAKARTA Sony seems soon to announce the global launch of its newest generation premium headphones, WH-1000XM6. The model will be the successor to WH-1000XM5 which will be released in 2022. Recently, WH-1000XM6 appeared on the new certification list, signaling its launch is getting closer.

The latest headphone of the Japanese tech giant has just been listed on the IMDA database in Singapore, as reported by 91Mobiles. In this certification, WH-1000XM6 is registered with model number YY2984. Although this list does not disclose its detailed specifications or designs, the certification confirms that this device is the Wireless Noise Cancelling Stereo Headset with Bluetooth support.

Previously, the same model number was also found in the FCC certification last month, which revealed more details regarding WH-1000XM6. Sony is rumored to be bringing in a new design with updated hinges and removable earpads.

WH-1000XM6 is also expected with Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth LE Audio support for more efficient connectivity. On the inside, these headphones likely use a chipset from MediaTek, as well as support fast charging features for faster charging.

Sony is predicted to release WH-1000XM6 in the second quarter of this year, around April to May. Based on the leaks circulating, these headphones will be available in three color choices, namely river, blue and black. The model is also likely to carry a 30mm driver and support Qualcomm's aptX codec for better audio quality.
