Safari's New Feature, Use Quick Website Search For Faster Search Results
JAKARTA - Apple offers various ways to search on the web via the Safari browser. One feature that is less known but very useful is Quick Website Search, which allows faster searches on certain sites without having to open the site first.
This feature is designed to work with websites that have built-in search fields, such as those at the top of the MacRumors.com main page. For example, if you want to search for articles in MacRumors that discuss device benchmarks, you usually type "maturors benchmarks" in the Safari address bar to get results from the search engine Safari uses.
Alternatively, you can type "site:machors.com benchmarks" to limit searches only on MacRumors sites. However, the more ideal way is to directly visit MacRumors.com and use the search field on the site. If the Quick Website Search is enabled, Safari will remember that you have used the MacRumors search field and offer the option to reuse it in the next search.
For example, if you type "ma Mitsuors" followed by "deals" directly in the Safari address bar, you will see the "Search ma Griors.com for 'deals' option in the suggestions box. Likewise, if you typed voi.id for Indonesia, by tapping this option, you will get search results directly from the MacRumors or VOI built-in search feature without having to visit the site first.
The Quick Website Search function relies on how a website implements its search field, but this feature generally works well across most popular sites. Therefore, it's a good idea to make sure this feature is already enabled.
To enable it on iPhone and iPad:
Open the Settings app.
Tap Safari.
Select Quick Website Search.
Slide the Quick Website Search button to the ON (green) position.
On this screen, you can also tap Edit to remove websites from the shortcut list that Safari automatically adds every time you use search fields on a given site.

This feature is also available on Safari for macOS. To ensure this feature is active:
Open Safari, then select Safari Settings... from the menu bar.
Select the Search tab.
Make sure the box next to the Enable Quick Website Search has been checked.
If you click the Manage Websites button..., you can see a shortcut list of websites Safari has saved, delete certain sites, or completely delete the list.
By activating Quick Website Search, Safari users can enjoy faster and more efficient searches without having to open a website first. This feature is very useful for those who often seek information on certain sites, save time, and increase productivity.
