Absent From Being Sick, The Former Regent Of Central Lombok Was Recalled By The Police In The Case Of Alleged Fraud

JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police summoned the former Central Lombok Regent Suhaili FT regarding the investigation into the alleged fraud case from a resident with the initials KDV.

"Yesterday, he was summoned once, but he was not present because he was sick. Therefore, we sent a second call, if he was not present, we will order him to be taken," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Syarif Hidayat in Mataram, Tuesday, February 11, confiscated by Antara.

He confirmed that Suhaili's summons at the investigation stage was in the status of the reported witness. Investigators scheduled a Suhaili examination on Wednesday, February 12.

The former regent of Central Lombok, Suhaili, was reported to the NTB Regional Police on suspicion of fraud in land lease cooperation for the construction of a number of businesses with KDV.

The report was submitted to the NTB Regional Police in July 2024, and on suspicion of fraud, the reporter stated that the loss reached Rp1.5 billion.

Suhaili through his attorney, Abdul Hanan, said that his client would cooperate with the summons from the police.

"Basically we respect the legal process carried out by investigators. According to information, our client will come tomorrow morning to fulfill the summons," said Hanan.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that Suhaili also reported KDV to the NTB Police for alleged destruction of rental cars and theft of land certificates.

In the report, Suhali's attorney, Hanan, said that his client also attached evidence in the form of video of the reported car vandalism.

With this report, Hanan hopes that the police can also immediately follow up legally in order to close the gap between the reported parties to return to committing crimes.
