6 Cianjur Residents Poisoned By Muncul, Health Office Makes Sure To Be Served With Maximum

JAKARTA - The Cianjur District Health Office (Dinkes) confirmed that six residents of Cibeber District who were poisoned after eating fungi received maximum medical treatment until they recovered 100 percent before being allowed to go home.

The Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Cianjur District Health Office, Dr. Frida Laila Yahya, said that the six victims of poisoning were still undergoing treatment at the Sayang Cianjur Hospital, with conditions continuing to improve.

"The reports we received from health workers at the hospital, the condition of the six victims on behalf of Abah (80), M Bayu (25), Putri (13), M Rajib (10), M Zikri (7) and Siti Sarah (23) continued to improve and are still undergoing hospitalization," he said in Cianjur, Tuesday, February 11, quoted by Antara.

His party will continue to monitor and supervise the poisoned victim from Cibeber, including after being allowed to return home involving health workers from the local health center.

Meanwhile, to determine the cause of the poisoning that befell the two families, his party has taken samples of food consumed and sent to the West Java Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda).

"Our officers together with health workers from the puskesmas have brought food left over which is suspected to be the cause of the poisoning of two families in Cibeber to be sent to the West Java Labkesda, the results will only come out in the next two weeks," he said.

Along with the rampant cases of poisoning experienced by residents after eating fruit from wild plants, his party asked the public to always be careful and be able to ensure plants that can be consumed or not to avoid poisoning.

"Know first that the mushrooms that will be consumed make sure you don't have bad smell, striking colors, are easy to destroy when you touch them, there are dark spots, smeared, withering and growing in dirty places," he said.

As reported by the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Sayang Cianjur, provided medical treatment to six residents of Sukaharja Village, Cibeber District who were poisoned after consuming badminton mushrooms, Monday.

Public Relations of the Sayang Cianjur Hospital, Asep Hilman, said that the six victims who came complained of symptoms of fever, nausea and vomiting after consuming fungi that grew in his yard.

"The victim consists of two families and immediately gets medical treatment because his condition is weak and vomiting," he said.

Before being referred to the hospital, he said, the six residents who were poisoned had received treatment at the local health center, but their condition was getting worse so they needed more serious medical treatment.
