After The Accident Of GT Ciawi For A Week, The Truck Driver Can't Be Checked

Bogor City Police Traffic Unit has rescheduled Bendi Wijaya's examination, the driver of the deadly truck accident at Ciawi 2 Toll Gate, Katulampa Village, Bogor City, West Java, for reasons of not being able to communicate.

Head of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Yudiono, explained that Bendi was originally scheduled to undergo examination as a witness today. However, the hospital stated that Bendi was not yet in good health for examination.

"The doctor's statement in question cannot be examined. Today's plan (checked), but has not been discharged from the hospital, it is not allowed for people to be sick to be examined," said Kompol Yudi.

He made sure to reschedule the examination after sending a summons to Bendi as a witness.

"The important thing is that we have made a summons to provide information as witnesses. Until later he recovers, we will call him," he said.

Director of the Ciawi Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Fusia Meidiawaty said Bendi Wijaya had a brain injury.

"So at this time the driver has a moderate head injury, in the term medicine there is a little bleeding in the brain," said Dr. Fusia.

In addition to suffering a brain injury, Bendi, who is a resident of Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency, also suffered injuries to the eye so he had to receive treatment from an eye specialist and neuroscientist.

"If we look at the condition, we can't communicate yet, only when compared to yesterday's conditions, it's a little better, we can start to open our eyes if yesterday really couldn't open our eyes," said Dr. Fusia.

This deadly truck driver is one of 11 survivors of an accident at the Ciawi 2 Toll Gate.

Previously, the Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Eko Prasetyo, explained that the accident on the Bogor Jakarta Toll Road, precisely at the Ciawi 2 Toll Gate, occurred on Tuesday at around 23.30 WIB.

Kecelakaan maut yang menghancurkan bangunan gerbang tol itu juga melibatkan sebanyak enam unit kendaraan, tiga diantaranya rusak terbakar dan tiga lainnya mengalami kerusakan.

"It is suspected that the vehicle had failed brake function (brake failure) so that it hit a series of vehicles that were carrying out transactions (e-tol payment) three vehicles were destroyed, three other vehicles were damaged," said Kombes Eko.
