Polda Metro Jaya Deploys 1,675 Personnel In Operation Keselamatan Jaya 2025
JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Karyoto, emphasized that Operation Keselamatan Jaya 2025 is more focused on preemptive and educational efforts to the public in traffic.
"Prevention of more violations to education builds awareness of road users while driving," said Karyoto when met in Jakarta, Monday, February 10.
He explained that this operation aims to prevent fatal accidents, such as what happened some time ago at the Ciawi Toll Gate. One form of education emphasized in this operation is the importance of checking vehicle safety equipment, such as brakes.
"Indeed, we cannot avoid mechanical interference completely, but if the checks are carried out properly, the potential for fatal accidents can be reduced," he added.
Karyoto also said that the Jaya 2025 Safety Operation was part of preconditioning steps or creating conditions before the 2025 Ketupat Operation.
"People must obey and obey traffic regulations, from checking the condition of vehicles to understanding the signs on the road," he said.
The Jaya 2025 Safety Operation will take place from February 10 to March 23, 2025, involving 1,675 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, TNI, and the Regional Government.
