KPK Brings Blue Suitcases, Evidence Of Determination Of Suspect Hasto Kristiyanto

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) brought a blue suitcase containing evidence of the determination of the suspect of the PDI-P Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto.

"It must be printed out (printed)," said single judge Djuyamto during the submission of evidence in a pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, February 10.

Based on observations at the location, the KPK team dragged the suitcase into the main courtroom at 09.15 WIB. They then put the suitcase near the chair, opened it, and issued a number of written evidence to be submitted to the panel of judges.

As of 10.31 WIB, the KPK still submitted a number of written evidences, while Hasto Kristiyanto's attorney also examined the documents.

On Monday, February 10, the KPK is scheduled to submit written evidence in the pretrial lawsuit hearing filed by Hasto Kristiyanto. Furthermore, on Tuesday, February 11, the KPK will present expert witnesses. Then, on Wednesday, February 12, both Hasto and the KPK will present their respective conclusions.

The pretrial lawsuit is scheduled to be read out at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday, February 13.

KPK investigators have previously named two new suspects in the bribery case related to the interim replacement (PAW) of Harun Masiku. The two suspects are the Secretary General of the PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, and advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah.

KPK chairman Setyo Budiyanto said that Hasto was suspected of regulating and controlling Donny Tri Istiqomah to lobby KPU member Wahyu Setiawan in order to appoint Harun Masiku as a candidate for elected DPR RI member from the South Sumatra I electoral district.

In addition, Hasto is also suspected of instructing Donny to be active in taking and handing over bribes to Wahyu Setiawan through Agustiani Tio Fridelina.
