Pamekasan Police Finds Coastal Land Ownership By Individuals

The Pamekasan Police, East Java, found ownership of coastal land by individuals on Tlanakan Beach, Pamekasan Regency, Madura Island.

According to the Head of Public Relations of the Pamekasan Police, AKP Sri Sugiharto, the discovery of the coastal ownership was when the institution received reports from the public about the felling of mangrove trees on the beach by residents.

"The Pamekasan Police immediately conducted an investigation regarding the report, because the logging carried out was troubling the residents, especially the residents of Tlanakan," he said in Pamekasan, Sunday.

The police immediately conducted an examination of representatives of residents and related parties, including the perpetrators of felling the mangrove tree, namely Budiono alias Yupang.

The results of the officer's investigation into Budiono stated that the mangrove tree that was cut down belonged to him personally, because the mangrove tree grew on the coastal land of Tlanakan Beach whose land was in his name.

Budionosempat menunjukkan sertifikat hak milik (SHM) kepada pihaknya.

"Thus, the case of ownership of the coast as a private property of residents, not only in Tangerang and Sumenep, but also in Pamekasan," he said, quoted by Antara.

Regarding the report of the marine ecosystem company due to felling mangrove trees on Tlanakan Beach, Pamekasan Regency, Sri Sugiharto said that until now the investigation by the Pamekasan Police Criminal Investigation Team was ongoing.

Meanwhile, from part of the coastal land that belongs to Budiono, a salt, hospitality and car dealers production warehouse has been built.
