The Minister Of PKP Will Meet The Governor Of BI To Discuss Housing Issues
JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait said he and the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo and relevant stakeholders will meet on Tuesday (11/2) discussing housing issues.
"We will discuss with the Governor of BI on Tuesday (11/2). I have invited Mr. Misbakhun (Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI Mukhamad Misbakhun). I also invite Mr. Ferry (Deputy for Macroeconomic Coordination and Finance of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Ferry Irawan), Pandu (Pandu Sjahrir) Danantara, and we will talk later with Ferry together with banking circles to how we answer about financing, "he said at a press conference at the PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk event regarding the launch of BALE by BTN in Jakarta, Sunday.
He conveyed that the main issues in the housing sector were related to funding, land, licensing, house quality, and reference data so that they were right on target in providing housing assistance. One of the concerns of the Minister of PKP is related to data issues.
Ara agreed that the data must be concentrated in the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), so that various existing ministries do not need to make their respective surveys to collect data, or in order to verify the work of BPS.

BPS itself has been designated by the President as a centralized data collector under the supervision of the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas). Therefore, he hopes that there will be no more housing assistance that is not on target.
