BTN Officially Launches SupplyApps Bale, Users Reach 2.3 Million

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) officially launched Bale by BTN, a SuperApp that offers solutions and services through digital innovation. As of today, the total users of the application reach 2.3 million.

For your information, the Bale by BTN application was soft launched on December 15, 2024. This SuperApp Bale by BTN was previously known as BTN Mobile.

President Director of BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu said Bale by BTN is a company's strategic initiative to be more competitive in making BTN a transactional bank.

"We deliberately use Bale's name for Super App because it comes from the word 'balai' which means 'home', so this is a 'home' for the people of Indonesia," he said in the grand launching Bale by BTN, at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta, Sunday, February 9.

Nixon said that Bale by BTN users had reached 2.3 million with transaction volumes reaching Rp6.6 trillion per month. In fact, he said this application attracts 100,000 new users every month.

"Bale has been connected to two million users in just one year, and by 2025 it is hoped that it can be pushed to four to five million users," said Nixon.

According to Nixon, Bale by BTN is part of BTN's digital transformation to support the company's new vision of 2025-2029, namely Beyond Mortgage, with the aim of becoming the main partner in the financial empowerment of Indonesian families.

"BTN not only focuses on housing financing, but also supports all family transaction needs," he explained.

In addition, Nixon said BTN had also introduced the BTN Digital Store service. The service allows account opening within three minutes by utilizing rebotic and AI technology.

Furthermore, Nixon said earlier account opening took 45 minutes. Then, the company tried to reduce the time to 25 minutes.

"But today at BTN Digital Store it can open an account in under 3 minutes. So they are assisted by a robot application, AI is just plugging in an ID card, so the account number is in its own form. Now these are ways where if we want to serve millions of customers, digitalization is unavoidable," he said.
