Ship Fire In Marina Ancol Kills 1 Person, 5 Others Injured

The ship fire that occurred at Marina Ancol pier, North Jakarta, Saturday night, February 8, killed one person. In addition to one victim who died, the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) reported that five people were injured.

Information on the fire was received by the North Jakarta Fire Department at around 22.00 WIB. Following up on the report, nine fire engines were deployed to the location.

From Gulkarmat DKI's report, the cause of the fire was sparks, which arose due to technical errors during fueling activities (BBM).

The officers then carried out the blackout starting at 22.15 WIB and managed to localize it at around 22.25 WIB. After that they carried out the cooling process.
