Yogyakarta Police Hunt For Vandalism Perpetrators 'Adili Jokowi' Written At Several Points
Yogyakarta City Police (Polresta) are hunting for the perpetrators of vandalism in the form of graffiti that read 'Adili Jokowi' which appeared at a number of points in the city of Yogyakarta.
Yogyakarta Police Chief Kombes Aditya Surya Dharma said his party was still investigating, including by checking CCTV footage around the location.
"We are still investigating. We are checking CCTV-CCTV at the location. Hopefully later we will have instructions for the vandalism perpetrators," said Aditya in Yogyakarta, Antara, Thursday, January 6.
Until now, said Aditya, no witnesses have been examined regarding the case. Apart from collecting evidence from CCTV footage, he continued, his party has deployed members to collect information from residents around the vandalism location.
"The witness has not yet, we are still investigating it first. We are still investigating CCTV, then our members have gone to the field to ask for information from around the location. If there are witnesses who see or know about it," he said.
According to him, vandalism can disturb the public because in addition to being provocative, it also disturbs city aesthetics.
"More like that (provocative) then it will damage the scenery," he said.
However, his party is still reviewing further whether this action is included in the category of minor criminal acts (tipiring) or related to other elements of violating the law. "We will investigate that later," he said.
Head of Yogyakarta City Satpol PP October Noor Arafat said the graffiti "Adili Jokowi" was monitored at least on Wednesday (5/2) at 15 points in the Yogyakarta City area.
