Zainal Flower Fraud Case, Perpetrators Invite Business But Deposit Money Is Used

JAKARTA - The police have named two suspects in the fraudulent investment mode fraud case that made Bunga Zainal a victim.

As a result of the investigation, they did not return and the promised profit was because they had been used to pay for other victims' losses.

"The suspect admitted that he did not return the victim's capital or the profit promised. The capital that has been received by the suspect from the victim was used to pay the other victims," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Thursday, February 6.

In fact, Bunga Zainal has handed over money to the suspect worth Rp. 6,125,000,000 or (Rp. 6.1 billion). The handover is periodic from December 2021 to June 2022.

The mode they do is invite Bunga Zainal to do business, to be precise investment in the procurement of goods and services at the Kopernik Foundation located in Bali. However, the suspects actually gave fake Purchase Orders or POs.

The Purchase Order is a document made by the buyer for the seller which contains details of the goods or services purchased. The Purchase Order document contains information on the names and details of the goods or services purchased, the amount of goods purchased, unit prices, and the total price of the goods and services purchased.

"The suspect gave a fake PO to the victim, where the PO was edited or changed the PO data that was obtained from the Kopernik Foundation," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the two suspects had the initials AAACD and SFSS. They are suspected of under Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 372 of the Criminal Code regarding criminal acts of fraud and/or embezzlement.

Bunga Zainal's fraud case is known to be reported on August 22, 2024. The report is registered with the number LP/B/4972/VIII/2024/SPKTT/POLDA METRO JAYA.
