Broken Bones Injury, Jorge Martin Absen In The Remaining Sepang MotoGP Test
JAKARTA The defending MotoGP champion from Spain, Jorge Martin, had to miss the rest of the 2025 Sepang MotoGP test, Malaysia, after experiencing several fractures due to an accident.
The 27-year-old racer had two accidents on the opening day, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at noon WIB. The second accident injured him and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Aprilia as the team Martin defended in a recent statement confirmed that their rider was diagnosed with a fracture in the left leg.
"He will stay in hospital tonight and tomorrow fly back to Europe to undergo surgery on his right hand and left leg," the statement was quoted as saying by Crash.

Jorge Martin has undergone Computed Tomography Scan (CT Scan) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at Aurelius Hospital in Kota Nilai, Malaysia.
As a result, the rider who last season defended Ducati suffered from a closed fracture of the fifth right-hand metakarpal cap and a closed fracture in the third, fourth, and fifth left-foot metatarsal.
"Not the best start of the 2025 season, but Martinator is always back stronger!" Martin wrote on his social media after the crash.
This injury left Martin, who started his trip as a Aprilia manufacturer in November 2024 on a test after Barcelona season, in doubt being able to take a test in Buriram next week.
Martin is the second Aprilian to be forced out of the Sepang test due to injury. He followed in the footsteps of Raul Fernandez from Trackhouse Racing who also had an accident and had a left hand broken.
Fernandez has already returned to Barcelona for surgery. He reportedly wants to return to riding a motorbike next week in the Buriram test.
The accident of the two names forced Aprilia to continue preparations this season with only two drivers remaining, namely rookie Trackhouse, Ai Ogura, and Marco Bezzecchi.
