Pramono Regarding The Discourse On The Terms For KJP Recipients To Have A Minimum Value Of 70: Not Yet My Decision

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor-elect Pramono Anung asked the public not to worry about the discourse on adding the requirements for the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP)Plus has a school report card value of at least 70.

Pramono emphasized that this was not included in his work program. This is still only an option discussed between the Pramono-Rano transition team and the DKI Jakarta Education Office.

"I frankly just found out and it has not become my decision. Regarding the (receivable report card) of the KJP 70, it has not been my decision," Pramono told reporters, Wednesday, February 5.

Since the 2024 Pilkada campaign period, Pramono has often received complaints from the public regarding KJP. Many residents asked their children to be given education assistance because they came from poor families.

Thus, Pramono promised to facilitate the distribution of KJP Plus for residents who are entitled to receive it while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta in the future. In addition, Pramono promised to return KJP ownership to students whose receipts were revoked in 2024.

"What is clear is that what I want to do is KJP, which in 2 years many KJP recipients have complained because those who previously could no longer be able to, I will fix the number of 520 thousand," explained Pramono.

"Even later in time I will return it to the governor's definitive last time, it will even be added. So that in doing so there will be more who receive it," he added.

Previously, the Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Sarjoko, in a working meeting with Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD revealed the addition of a minimum report card requirement of 70 for KJP recipients.

"One of the criteria specifically as the latest regulated KJP Plus recipients is related to student achievement indexes or the average report card. The average report card is at least 70 in 2 consecutive semesters," said Sarjoko at the DKI Jakarta Building, Monday, February 3.

This discourse came from the results of a meeting of the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government with the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno transition team. However, when they heard the discourse, a number of DPRD members expressed their rejection.

Thus, Sarjoko admitted that he would again discuss the plan to add the KJP holder requirements with the Pramono-Rano transition team.

"Regarding this value parameter, once again the input from the transition team is indeed input. Therefore, when this needs to be reviewed, of course we will discuss it again," he said.
