Acting Governor Of DKI Promises Jakarta Residents No Longer Difficult To Find 3 Kg Gas Ahead Of Ramadan
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi guarantees that the 3 kilogram (kg) LPG gas stock in Jakarta is in safe condition. The DKI Provincial Government, said Teguh, is trying to maintain the availability of 3 kg gas ahead of the month of Ramadan.
"God willing, it will be before the month of Ramadan, Eid, it is safe, it is finished," said Teguh in Ancol, North Jakarta, Tuesday, February 4.
Teguh instructed the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) to regularly go to the field to monitor the availability of 3 kg of gas and follow up on supply if stocks become scarce.
The DKI Provincial Government also periodically coordinates with the central government to anticipate the scarcity of LPG gas.
"Membil langkah-langkah yang perlu dilakukan segera hingga masalah kelangkaan LPG bisa ditangani, termasuk juga langkah-langkah frequen penyesuaian harga, itu juga kita monitor. Kemudian jika ada terjadi queuean disin-sini, segera lakukan, koordinasi dengan pihak terkait," ungkap Teguh.
Teguh admitted, one of the reasons it is difficult for residents to find 3 kg of gas is the highest retail price (HET) in Jakarta which is still lower in the buffer zone.
Currently, HET gas 3 kg in Jakarta is still IDR 16,000 based on the determination of the 2015 governor's regulation. Meanwhile, several buffer areas have set HET at IDR 19,000.
This has caused many residents in buffer areas to look for LPG gas to Jakarta. Therefore, Teguh will propose an increase in HET gas 3 to Jakarta to the central government.
"We've been 10 years, 2015 until now it hasn't gone up. That means it's been almost 10 years, it means it's not relevant. In the buffer area in 2019 it has gone up, we haven't. That's why we will finish the price later, so that our buffer area is the same. So, there is no transfer of our allocation to the buffer area," explained Teguh.

Not only that, the DKI Provincial Government will also ask for additional LPG gas quotas for Jakarta this year. Given, the 3 kg gas quota received by Jakarta this year actually decreased 5 percent from 2024.
