The Perpetrator Of Making Fake STNK Arrested By The Police In Mataram Received Rp1-2.5 Million From The Orderer
The Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police uncovered the practice of making fake vehicle registration certificates (STNK) in Mataram City.
Deputy Director of General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, AKBP Putu Bagiartana, explained that this case was revealed by arresting the perpetrator and evidence that corroborated the practice of making fake STNKs.
"The perpetrator in this case has the initials GS. For his actions, investigators named him a suspect by applying Article 263 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code regarding document forgery," said Putu Bagiartana at a press conference in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, February 4.
Suspect GS made a fake STNK by deleting data on the original STNK that was no longer valid. Then, the latest data is submitted in the STNK according to the customer's request.
"For one STNK product, the perpetrators receive a fee of Rp. 1 million to Rp. 2.5 million," he said.
The suspect GS turned out to be carrying out his mode with the help of a fairly simple printing tool, including a printing machine or digital printing and a laptop.
From the results of the examination, it was revealed that GS has been running the business since 2024. Since then, GS has made millions of rupiah in profits from scoring six fake STNKs.
