JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono ensured that the OIKN budget allocation this year was not cut, but Basuki would first write to the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
He emphasized that the budget allocation for this year's OIKN remains at IDR 6.3 trillion, as has been approved by President Prabowo, plus IDR 8.1 trillion.
"The Presidential Instruction (Presidential Instruction) Number 1 of 2025 was made before the IKN average on January 21. So, later we will send (a letter). We have been asked to send a letter to the Minister of Finance to adjust it to what was approved by the President Rp6.3 trillion plus Rp8.1 trillion," said the Head of OIKN during a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Monday, February 3.
The Head of OIKN together with the Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Minister of Public Works Dodi Hanggodo, and Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti, and Special Staff of OIKN for Development Planning Imam Santoso Ernawi, attended a limited meeting chaired by President Prabowo in isataha.
The meeting was a continuation of the IKN-related meeting which was held at the Presidential Office on January 21, 2025. The limited meeting on IKN today, which was also attended by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, lasted for approximately 3 hours.
"Earlier we also conveyed to him (President), coincidentally there was a Minister of State Secretary, he answered that it would be adjusted soon," said Basuki Hadimuljono when explaining about this year's OIKN budget which would be cut.
The savings policy set by President Prabowo in Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 also has an impact on the OIKN budget this year. The plan to cut it originally reached Rp4.8 trillion. However, after today's meeting, Basuki ensured that the OIKN budget allocation this year was canceled.
Thus, the budget allocated for this year's OIKN is IDR 14.4 trillion. The funds are part of the IDR 48.8 trillion allocated by the President for IKN in the 2025'2029 period.
Coordinating Minister AHY, at the same press conference, reiterated that President Prabowo had approved a budget for IKN of IDR 48.8 trillion for the 2025-2029 period. This will certainly be used according to the stages and also the plans set from the start," said AHY.
