Harley-Davidson Releases Three Latest CVO Models With More Performance And Advanced Technology
JAKARTA - Harley-Davidson announced the launch of a three-model update of the limited edition Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) series, including the Road Glide ST model as the highest type.
Launching from Motorcyclenews, Monday, February 3, the three motorbikes from America are designed to prioritize luxury combined with advanced technology and infotainment systems.
This two-wheeled vehicle manufacturer from the US presents it with a 312 mm TFT screen equipped with a connected Skyline operating system to Wi-Fi, the presence of internal navigation with real-time traffic and weather updates, and it offers four speakers around the motorcycle with two of them placed in the front fair and two others near the saddlebags.
In addition, four-mode driving modes were also presented for Road Glide and Street Glide, eight models for ST, the presence of cornering sensitivity transaction control, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), linked brakes, Hill Hold Assist, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring.
In terms of control, the three motorbikes carried the reverse fork suspension Showa 47 mm combined with a shock emusli Showa dual outboard on the back.
Then, the ST variant gets a fully regulated suspension setting. This can change the compression system and the reflection subsidence at both ends plus the load adjustment capability at the back.
Both Road Glide, Street Glide, and Road Glide ST have the same braking pattern, namely utilizing the system from Brembo. However, the multiple floating disk on ST type has been upgraded to help with heat disposal.
The heart of these three CVO motors is the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 1.977 cc engine. In the standard variant, the powertrain produces 115 hp and 188 Nm torque. The manufacturer claims the power is 9.5 percent larger than the non-CVO version of Road Glide and Street Glide.
This performance increase was largely due to an increase in the ratio of compression and a more aggressive cam profile, as well as an increase in moderate displacements.
