Donny Tri Istiqomah Hasto's Intention To Follow Hasto's Traces To File A Pretrial Against The Determination Of KPK Suspects

PDI-P (PDIP) lawyer Donny Tri Istiqomah is more focused on proving himself innocent in the bribery case for handling interim replacement (PAW) members of the Indonesian House of Representatives through court channels.

This was conveyed by Donny after undergoing an examination at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Monday, February 3. He said he had no intention of following in the footsteps of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who had submitted a pretrial to the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

"Until now, I have no intention of submitting pretrial efforts," Donny told reporters at the location, Monday, February 1.

"I and my legal advisers focus on concentrating on proving in court later that it means like this, we, as suspects, also have the right to prove the opposite," he continued.

Even so, Donny emphasized that he had never interfered in the bribery case that ensnared him and Hasto. "But like this, this is because the investigator's domain is related to the subject matter of the case, so that investigators have their own evidence that is impossible to reveal," he said.

Moreover, the judge at the trial must have his own judgment when deciding the case. "I also may have other evidence that I cannot reveal as well," said Donny.

Previously reported, the KPK developed a bribery case for the management of the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives which ensnared former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku. Two people were named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

It didn't stop there, Hasto was also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the OTT was carried out.

In this case, Hasto underwent an examination last January 14. He was not detained after undergoing an examination for 3.5 hours at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta (Jaksel).
