After Indonesia, BYD Will Expand Denza Brand To Australian Market
JAKARTA - A well-known automotive manufacturer from China, BYD confirmed it would offer more than one model with Denza sub-brand for the Australian market.
Drive reported on Monday, January 3, BYD will bring the luxury sub-brand to the country's trading market in the second half of this year in detail of an undisclosed date.
Although it has been confirmed that it will launch in the second half of 2025, the manufacturer revealed that it is still considering which models will be launched in the market.
"There are still considerations regarding which Denza model we will bring to Australia," said General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific, Liu Xueliang.
The first model that has the potential to enter the market is Denza B5 or in the Chinese market carrying the name Fangchengbao Bao 5. This car has a tough SUV style intended to run on all terrain.
The presence of Denza B5 will increase the number of options for customers in choosing off-road-focused SUVs, in addition to Toyota LandCruiser Prado, Ford Everest, and Isuzu MU-X which have already arrived in Australia.
It is possible that this brand will offer other global products to Australia, such as MPV D9, medium N7 SUVs, N9 large-body SUVs, Z9 sedans, and Z9 GT wagons. All of these models are powered by pure electricity.
BYD will present Denza sub-brand first at the market before introducing another brand, Yangwang. The manufacturer is still considering bringing the Yangwang U8 model, although it has been tested several times with the right steering configuration in Australia.
