Prabowo's Budget Efficiency Instruction, PDIP Believes That Anung's Pramono Program Will Continue To Run Smoothly
JAKARTA The spokesman for the PDI-P (PDIP), Chico Hakim, emphasized that the budget efficiency policy instructed by President Prabowo Subianto would not hinder Pramono Anung's work program when he officially served as Governor of DKI Jakarta for the period 2025-2030.
Chico, who also serves as the Head of Communication for the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno Transition Team, explained that budget cuts in the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget are more focused on reducing expenditures that are not directly related to community services.
"The efficient ones include official travel, food costs, and meeting snacks. That's not part of our program," Chico told reporters, Sunday, February 2.
He emphasized that Pramono's priority programs, such as improving education and health services, overcoming floods, and expanding access to public transportation, could still run according to plan.
"This efficiency does not mean that the budget is cut just like that, but is accompanied to be more optimal. Budgets that do not need to be allocated to things that are in direct contact with the people," he added.
Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi, had signed Governor's Instruction (Ingub) Number 2 of 2025 concerning Efficiency and Expenditure Adjustments for Fiscal Year 2025.
This policy includes cutting the official travel budget by up to 50 percent to increase efficiency without disrupting priority programs for the community.

Some of the main points of budget efficiency in the Ingub include: - Reduction of 50 percent of official travel expenditures, both domestically and abroad. - Budget restrictions for ceremonial activities, studies, comparative studies, as well as seminars and FGDs. - Efficiency of operating spending that does not have measurable output. - Saving food and beverage budgets. - Implementation of selective policies in granting grants to ministries or institutions. - Adjustment of 2025 APBD expenditures sourced from funds transfer to regions.
Teguh said that the total efficiency of the new budget would be known after a leadership meeting with all Regional Apparatus Work Units (SKPD) on February 6, 2025.
"This step aims to make the use of the budget more targeted and continue to support priority programs for the community," he concluded.
