Russia Attacks Kharkiv-Poltava Ukraine, 3 People Died
JAKARTA - Russia launched drone and missile attacks on Ukraine on Saturday. The attack killed three civilians and damaged residential buildings and infrastructure.
Reported by Reuters on Saturday, February 1, the Interior Ministry said Russian missiles hit a residential building in downtown Poltava, killing two people and injuring seven others. One other person died in Kharkiv city in the northeast.
Previously Russian forces also carried out a missile attack on the center of the Odesa port in the Ukrainian Black Sea, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Russian attacks damaged historic buildings and injured seven people.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the attack was a deliberate attack that once again stressed the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses.
Zelenskiy said Norwegian diplomats were among those "at the center of attack" in the historic district.
Odesa regional governor By goalkeeper said seven people were injured and emergency officers were still at the scene.

Philharmonic Odesa concert building, across the hotel, was damaged and had many windows broken.
This means that the bomb was deliberately aimed at the hotel to destroy the floors and buildings inside, causing destruction and, of course, killing civilians who were staying there at the time.
"Many times, air defense is a top priority. We are working with all of our partners to provide more protection for our country," said Ukrainian President as reported by Reuters, Saturday, February 1.
