Preview Of Chelsea Vs Brighton: Silva Is Doubted To Appear, Christensen Recovers From Injury

JAKARTA - Thomas Tuchel will make a decision at the last minute regarding whether or not Thiago Silva will play in the Premier League meeting against Brighton in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Chelsea head coach spoke via video link at his pre-match press conference before yesterday's afternoon training at Cobham.

Tuchel is worried about the workload carried by the Brazilian defender. For that, he will still consider Silva's position in the starting line-up.

However, there is good news about Andreas Christensen missing the last three games due to a muscle injury.

Tuchel reports the Dane completed Sunday's training session and could feature against the Seagulls. It's just that midfielder Mateo Kovacic remains absent.

"I hope Andreas is back and ready," said Tuchel as quoted from the official Chelsea website. "He had a very good training session yesterday and I hope this will continue today."

"With Thiago, it is a little different, not because of injury but maybe because of acute overload after injury in two games. He is not injured but we have to see if it makes sense for him to start again."

"I think and I hope only Kova is injured."
