British Prime Minister For German Chancellor Olaf Scholz

JAKARTA - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Sunday at his residence in rural Checkers.

This meeting was held a few weeks before the national election was scheduled to take place in Germany.

"The two leaders are expected to discuss issues surrounding Ukraine and the Middle East," a spokesman for the British PM said.

The Scholz Party, the centre-left Social Democratic Party, is expected to occupy third place in the February 23 election, according to a recent poll published by INSA on January 25.
