Gazans Return To Home Shot By Israeli Troops
JAKARTA - Israeli occupation forces opened fire on residents as they tried to return to their homes around Khalil al-Nubani School, south of Zeitoun. Israeli occupation tanks on Tuesday morning, January 28, opened fire on a number of people returning to their homes in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southern Gaza.
Quoted from the Palestinian News Agency WAFA via Antara, the Palestinian Red Crescent said it had evacuated 10 rotting bodies from various places along the Rashid Street in the Gaza Strip on Monday, January 27.
On that day the refugees began to return from the southern to the north on foot from Rashid Street on the coast after spending two nights in the open on Rashid Street and Salah al-Din Street.
In the midst of the very cold weather, the refugees waited for the occupation forces to allow them to return home after forcing them to leave and shift to the south.
Israel's aggressiveness in the Gaza Strip which lasted from 7 October 2023 to 19 January 2025 has resulted in more than 158,000 deaths and injuries, the majority of whom were children and women. More than 14,000 people were also reported missing.

Israel's actions also caused more than 85 percent of the residents in the Gaza Strip, namely 1.93 million more than a total of 2.2 million people, to leave their homes because they were destroyed. About 100,000 residents have left the Gaza Strip since the start of the aggression.
Currently, around 1.6 million Gaza Strip residents live in refugee camps and inadequate tents amid the massive and unprecedented destruction of infrastructure and property of citizens.
