Klteng Eng An Kiong In Malang Ready To Celebrate Chinese New Year

So Malang residents including those who are outside the city will return home and come to the temple and perform joint prayers, as well as praying for their ancestors," said Prabawono, Tuesday, January 28. Ahead of the celebration, Malang City Police, East Java carried out sterilization at Klteng Eng An Kiong. Malang City Police Chief, Kombes Pol Nanang Haryono in Malang City, said this sterilization was to ensure the safety of worship carried out by Confucian people. "We carry out sterilization activities to ensure security, so that the community can carry out worship calmly and safely," said Nanang quoted from ANTARA. The worship process in Klteng Eng An Kiong will be guarded by around 100 joint personnel, both from the National Police, TNI, and the Malang City Transportation Service (Dishub). Nanang said that the security carried out by officers also included in the traffic control pattern around the pagodateng. "If from us there are 75 officers (police). Then there are also from Kodim and Dishub, a total of about 100 security personnel," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Operations Section of Malang City Police, AKP Sutomo, said that sterilization carried out by officers was carried out thoroughly, meaning targeting all location points in the Kelteng area, Eng An Kiong. The police did not find any dangerous or suspicious items in the place of worship. "The results of checking until sterilization, no items (dangerous and suspicious) were found," he said.
