JAKARTA TikTok has changed after being closed a day on January 19, 2025, according to a number of US residents. This complaint arose because user activity was felt more limited than before.

In fact, there is an allegation that they were censored by TikTok. This happens because users see less live broadcast content. TikTok users in the US are also aware that their activities have been removed more than before.

The abolition of this activity occurred due to alleged violations of community guidelines. In fact, actions that were previously allowed were often prohibited after TikTok resumed operations.

Some users also say that they are now looking at more moderated content, such as more limited search results and warnings about misinformation. TikTok will ask its users to check content sources first.

In addition, reports also emerged that TikTok deleted comments with phrases such as 'Free Palestine' or 'Free Luigi'. The second phrase leads to Luigi Mangione, the person accused of killing UnitedHealth executive.

TikTok seems to realize that its app is changing a bit. Although some feel that their actions are restricted, TikTok told Reuters that, "Our policies and algorithms have not changed over the weekend."

The company also explained that they wanted to keep the app working as usual, without problems and staying stable.

For now, TikTok is still trying to restore its operations amid a ban on service providers that have not been resolved.

"We are working hard to restore our operations in the US back to normal and predict there will be temporary instability as we recover our services, which could affect the TikTok feature or user access to the app."
