There are three important trips by the Prophet SAW, namely Isra Mikraj, Hijrah, and Haji Wada. Hijrah from Mecca to Medina is a momentum change, Haji Wada marks victory. Isra Mikraj is the pinnacle of the journey of a servant (al-abd) to the creator (al-Khalik) towards the perfection of ruhani (insan Kamil).
"Rasulullah in a hadith mentions praying as Mi'janya, a mukmin. Prayer is also a religious pillar," he said.
Prayer, said the Minister of Religion, is the foundation of spirituality and religious pillars. Prayer teaches discipline, friendship, and close relationships with the Creator.
Prayers are closed with greetings, giving a message about the importance of spreading peace and safety. Prayers teach about the importance of a balance between relationships with Allah SWT and relationships with fellow humans.
"Shalat strengthens the spiritual foundation in the development of the people and the nation. When this foundation is strong, the values of justice, peace, and prosperity will grow and bring benefits to all," said the Minister of Religion.
According to him, prayer teaches that individual piety must have an impact on social piety, which is an important pillar in building a just and dignified society. The Minister of Religion hopes that this year's commemoration of Isra Mikraj will be an inspiration for the people to continue to strengthen faith, improve charity, and build a better future for the nation.
"By making spirituality a basis, praying as a pillar, let's present a civilization full of grace and blessings," he said.
