Gmail Introduces Calendar Google Cards Redesigned On Android And IOS

JAKARTA - Gmail has launched a design update for the Google Calendar event card now available on Android and iOS devices. This update follows the design of a new summary card launched in October 2024, which aims to make information more easily seen and can be followed up immediately.

This updated event card appears when users receive email related to events, such as restaurant reservations or meeting appointments with dentists. On this new card, information about the date and time of the event is more prominent in the first row, followed by event names and supporting images. Next, the card will display the location of the event as well as the section or seat (if applicable).

Unlike the old version, this card will also show previous events on Google Calendar, including the end of the event. In addition, this card provides a useful button for inviting other people, looking for tickets, getting directions, adding events to the calendar, calling the location of the event, and others.

This update has been launched for Google Workspace subscribers, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users. Android and iOS users can now enjoy this more informative card design.

Going forward, Google is also planning to launch an updated summary card for bills and travel. These cards will later appear in the results of the Gmail search and new section of "Happening soon" on the user's inbox.
