The Palestinian Government Bans Its Flags From Being Carried Away By Demonstrations In Today's Memory, January 25, 2017

JAKARTA Memories of today, eight years ago, January 25, 2017, the Palestinian government banned their flag from being brought by the Indonesian people for demonstrations of domestic affairs -- especially those that did not take place peacefully. The prohibition was revealed by the Palestinian Embassy to Indonesia in a press release.
Previously, the Indonesian government from the start stood to support the independence of Palestine. Support is not just a saying. Indonesia doesn't want to open up space for diplomacy with Israel.
Colonialism above the world must be abolished because it is not in accordance with humanity and justice. That is one of the narratives of the opening of the 1945 Constitution. The magnificent opening is just a metaphor. However, something that holds the leaders of the nation.
National figures also agreed. They want no more colonialism above the world. This attitude was shown by Indonesia when taking sides with Palestine in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. National leaders such as Soekarno think that Israel has arbitrarily come and annex the Palestinian territories.
Hosts who should be respected are expelled. He considered this condition a form of modern colonialism. The Indonesian government supports the resistance of the Palestinian people to the Israeli occupation.
There is no room for Israel in Indonesia. The government does not want to open cooperation with Israel. Moreover, diplomatic matters. National leaders are aware that opening up space for diplomacy is the same as justifying the Israeli actions of colonizing the Palestinian people.
The change of the President of Indonesia did not bring much change. Indonesia's attitude always sided with Palestine. All forms of support are always given, from the era of President Suharto to Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
President Jokowi even appealed to other countries to stand fully in support of Palestinian independence. If Israel is still colonized then the resistance will not stop. This consistency is needed so that the world knows support for Palestine is never extinguished.
"In 1962, the Father of the Republic of Indonesia, the First President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno, Bung Karno, emphasized that as long as the independence of the Palestinian people has not been handed over to the Palestinian people, that is why the Indonesian people stand up to challenge the Israeli occupation".
"It is an honor for the people and the Indonesian government to fulfill our appeal, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, by hosting the Extraordinary Summit of Islamic Cooperation Organizations (LB OKI Summit) on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif. Welcome to Indonesia. A beautiful country that has the largest Muslims in the world, the third democratic country in the world, a country that will soon open the Honorary Consulate in Palestine," said Jokowi at the 5th LB OKI Summit at the Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta as quoted by the AnTARA website, March 7, 2016.
The Indonesian people themselves often show support for Palestine by carrying the Palestinian flag for the purposes of domestic demonstrations. The Palestinian government itself is happy and grateful for its support.

The case is that the Palestinian government is not very comfortable with their flags being carried for demonstrations. Mainly the demonstration that did not take place peacefully. The Palestinian government, through its Embassy, issued a press release which emphasized that they prohibited the use of flags for demonstrations on January 25, 2017.
The ban was carried out because the Palestinian government saw many demonstrations of domestic affairs using its flag. In fact, the demonstrations carried out have nothing to do with the Palestinian issue itself.
The embassy regrets having seen recently the Palestinian flag raised in a purely non-peaceful demonstration only related to Indonesia's domestic affairs. It is very clear that this action is unacceptable and is considered as support or solidarity in any form to Palestine.
Palestine's true friends should be eager to maintain stability and peace in their country if they really want to achieve peace in Palestine, it is written in a press release quoted on the okezone.com page, January 25, 2017.
