Ganjar Receives Tumpeng Piece From Megawati On The 78th Anniversary In Batutulis

BOGOR former Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, revealed that he received a cone cut from the PDIP General Chair, Megawati Soekarnoputri, during Megawati's 78th birthday celebration at the Batutuli Palace, Puri Bima Sakti, Bogor City, Thursday, January 23.

Ganjar, who wore batik with red stripes, stated that the thanksgiving event was simple, but full of warmth.

"Earlier, the atmosphere was familiar, full of family warmth. Mother (Megawati) held it simply, attended by friends of Mother and party cadres," said Ganjar when met at the gate of the Batutulis Palace.

Ganjar explained that the birthday event was internal, without inviting other parties.

"The nature is internal, the great-grandchildren (Megawati) were also present. It seems that other parties are not invited by Mother," he added.

According to Ganjar, Megawati chose to celebrate her birthday at the Batutulis Palace because she felt comfortable with the atmosphere of the place. He also admitted that he was happy when he got a cone cut from Megawati.

"Maybe you feel comfortable here. It's just a matter of a place. I myself feel happy because I got a clip of the cone from my mother. There is no special message from him," said Ganjar.

In line with Ganjar, Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives TB Hasanuddin who was present also revealed that the event was very simple.

"It's very simple. Only a few PDI-P cadres, former ministers, and the Coordinating Minister when he served as president were present. Incidentally, I was also the secretary of the military when Mrs. Mega became president," Hasanuddin said.

Hasanuddin explained that the atmosphere of the birthday event was full of familiarity. Most events are filled with casual chats, cone cutting processions, and cakes.

"There are no other activities, just chatting casually, cutting cones, and cakes," he said.

Even though she did not give a special message at the event, Megawati still expressed hope that PDIP cadres would maintain solidarity and comply with party decisions.

"When shaking hands, he said, 'You obey Mother's policies and decisions so that the party remains solid and advanced,'" Hasanuddin added.
