Cancel Several Shows Due To Sore Infection, Sting Still Appears At Los Angeles Fire Solidarity Concert
JAKARTA - British musician, Sting announced the cancellation of several shows this month. Through an Instagram post, the frontman of The Police said his current health condition did not allow him to appear on stage.
Meanwhile, the postponement of several performances was taken after receiving advice from doctors who asked him to undergo a period of recovery from throat infection.
"On the advice of the doctor, because he was sick, he deeply regrets that Sting had to cancel his appearance," reads the announcement on Sting's Instagram account.
Sting certainly canceled his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards which will be held on January 23.
Meanwhile, the delay will be made for Phoenix's "STING 3.0" performance from January 24 to June 1, then the concert in Wheatland on January 26 to May 28.
In addition, a postponement also occurred for her appearance at Cherrytree Music Company's 20th birthday event, which is scheduled to take place on May 29.
Fans have to save their tickets for the postponed show, as tickets will remain in place on a new date. Sting sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and expressed his gratitude to the fans for their understanding.

"Thank you very much for all the congratulations. My condition continues to improve after a temporary throat infection that makes me unable to sing, although I hope to return to appearance soon and reschedule my show," he said.
However, from the postponement and cancellation of several events, Sting did not mention FireAid's charity concert to support the restoration of forest fires in Los Angeles, where he is scheduled to perform alongside other musicians, such as Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lady Gaga, and other big stars.
Sting himself is still on a world tour. He will appear with special guests Billy Joel in Indianapolis on February 8, and will start a series of shows in Latin America starting February 14 in Rio de Janeiro.
