Bimbim Slank, Cak Lontong And Nicholas Saputra Vaccinated, Witnessed By Jokowi, Anies Baswedan And Sandiaga Uno
JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, believes that vaccinations for artists and cultural observers can accelerate the recovery of the creative economy sector.
"We hope that the contribution of IDR1,100 trillion from the creative economy sector will at least be preserved and there is an opportunity and opportunity to get back up and recover. So we are the third-largest contributor to GDP in the world after America and Korea", Sandiaga Uno said at the Gallery Indonesian National, Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, April 19.
Sandiaga conveyed this when accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in a mass vaccination event for cultural observers and artists throughout Jabodetabek (Jakarta and its surrounding).
The former deputy governor of DKI Jakarta believes that the mass vaccination policy for workers in the creative economy sector plus various other policies can encourage economic recovery in this sector, which is one of the major contributors to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
"We must fight against the pandemic together and with an emphasis on vaccination, 3M and 3T, we can reduce the number of COVID-19 transmissions. If this pandemic is under control, we can recover, so the creative economy sector will also rise soon", Sandiaga added.
Enthusiasm and optimism were also shown by comedian Lies Hartono or who is usually called Cak Lontong who was one of the mass vaccination participants.
"I say here (vaccination) we must carry out and be accepted by the community because this is the best that the community and government can do to deal with this COVID-19 period", said Cak Lontong.
He said that joining the vaccination program was something that had to be done to be able to assist the government in its efforts to deal with the pandemic.
"Artists and cultural observers are enthusiastic about undergoing this vaccination and are expected to transmit and give a spirit of optimism and positivity to the community", said Cak Lontong.
