DKI Satpol PP Issues Circular: Business Places To Find Parking Fields, Use Sidewalks Will Be Sanctioned
JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Satriadi Gunawan issued a circular to all owners or managers of business premises in Jakarta following the large number of sidewalks used as parking lots for visitors.
In the circular letter number 3-0002/SE/2025, Satriadi asked business owners not to use sidewalks as their business parking lots and look for replacement land.
"The owner/manager of the place of business should provide adequate parking space locations for visitors/consumers or look for replacement parking lots," said Satriadi in a circular, quoted on Wednesday, January 22.
If under the supervision of the Satpol PP, they still find a place of business using the sidewalk or shoulder of the road to become a parking lot, the owner of the business will be sanctioned.
"If you do not heed this appeal letter, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and other relevant agencies will take action in accordance with applicable regulations and all losses caused by this action will be your responsibility," said Satriadi.
